Innovative project funding: apply now

Do you have an innovative project proposal?

    An open call for projects

Our call for proposals is getting a brand new look!

To offer you an even simpler and more effective application experience, we are improving our project submission platform.

Join us starting September 1 to discover this new journey and submit your application.

Are you working on a Preparation grant project? This scheme will not be affected by the September 1 transition: its new dedicated platform will open sometime in 2027. We will keep you informed. Until then, applications for the Preparation stages will not be possible.

Thank you for your trust, we look forward to seeing you back this fall!

    FID's mission

FID encourages the emergence of new solutions aimed at reducing inequalities and combating poverty. Because innovation can emerge anywhere, FID maintains a continuously open call for projects, welcoming a wide range of actors, with no sectoral restrictions, to support solutions implemented in low- or middle-income countries.

Projects receive grants tailored to their level of maturity: whether to prototype or pilot an early idea, to rigorously evaluate its impact, to initiate a first scale-up or to support its deployment through public entities [see the funding stages].

It is open to any ideas that can generate lasting impact, regardless of their stage of development or field of action.

    Am I eligible?

FID selects the innovations it funds through a year-round open call for projects.

Projects must be located in a low- or middle-income country according to the OECD DAC list available on their website, except Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.

All types of organizations and collectives may apply, independently or within a consortium. Individual applications or those submitted by international organizations are not eligible. To help you identify the most suitable funding stage, a decision tree is available: Discover the decision tree.
