Protection of your personal data

How is your personal data processed?
The data processing operations are carried out by the Agence Française de Développement, which operates on behalf of the Fonds d'Innovation pour le Développement (FID). Their purpose is to promote and monitor FID's initiatives and projects.
The specific purpose of these operations is:
To provide information about FID’s activities and funding opportunities that may be of interest to you (regular e-mailings);
To collect and process the applications submitted in response to FID's calls for proposals and the funded projects when applicable.
The categories of processed data are the following:
Identification information (surname/first name/marital status)
Professional information (e-mail address/functions and any information you provide when submitting an application for funding)
Who has access to your data?
The collected data is only accessible to internal collaborators who need to know it in order to carry out their mission, in this case the FID project team.
When the nature of the operations carried out requires it, all data is made anonymous before being communicated to partners and suppliers.
The sharing of your personal data will only take place to carry out the purposes previously indicated.
When the nature of the operation allows it, all data is anonymized before being communicated to third parties.
Furthermore, to meet legal and regulatory obligations, we may be required to disclose personal information to administrative or judicial authorities upon specific written request, in accordance with the French legislation governing the right of disclosure.
How long will your data be kept?
E-mail addresses used to promote FID initiatives and projects are kept:
Until you notify us of your wish to unsubscribe if your e-mail address originates from a subscription to our newsletters;
Three years following your last communication with us, if your e-mail address originates from your application.
Any other information contained in an application for funding is saved:
10 years following the project's completion, or
10 years starting from the application date if the project is not selected for funding.
These periods include both active and intermediate archiving. Upon expiry of these storage periods, all data is destroyed, with the exception of specific documents of historical interest, as stipulated in the French Heritage Code.
Our engagements
We always seek to store your personal data in the safest and most secure manner, and only for as long as it is needed for the purposes for which it is being processed. In this regard, we implement appropriate physical, technical and organizational measures to prevent any alteration, modification or unauthorized access to your data.
In the event of a transfer of your data to countries that have not been recognized by the European Commission as having an adequate level of personal data protection, appropriate frameworks to guarantee the protection of your personal data will be implemented (e.g. binding corporate rules or standard contractual clauses).
